History [BA] - This programme offers enormous choice as well as the highest quality. You choose courses from a wide range, including Ancient, Medieval, Modern and Economic and Social History, as well as in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine. You can either specialise in particular areas or follow a range of interests. The final year offers a choice of specialised study of topics including British, European, American, African and Asian history at different periods, and a 12000-word thesis.
