Learning disability nurses work in partnership with people who have a range of intellectual and physical disabilities, assisting with aspects of everyday living across the life span. By providing specialist health, social and teaching skills the nurse encourages and supports the person on their journey toward independent living, recognizing the persons broader circle of support.
