Computer Engineering

The Computer Engineering academic curriculum is completely integrated with that of the St. Louis campus. The students can transfer freely between the two campuses over the course of their undergraduate degree program. A student who enrolls in a bachelor's degree: Computer Engineering program in Madrid will normally spend the first two years in Madrid and then transfer directly to the St.Louis campus to finish the final two years of the degree program. However, students can transfer the academic credits they earn while studying in Madrid to other US universities should they so wish.
Computer Engineering academic courses are offered in English at Saint Louis Madrid campus. Spanish and international students can enroll in the intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program during their first year of study.

Special attributes of this program
· Small class sizes, personal attention to students by the faculty and staff

· Laboratories containing modern test equipment and computers are available for students to obtain hands on experience.
Laboratory courses are incorporated to the standard curriculum as required courses.

· Majors have the option of joining the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) student branch, a professional society recognized around the world.

·Computer Engineering majors make periodic field trips to local industries to learn more about manufacturing, research, and development in a non-academic environment.

Computer Engineering students are eligible for all of the undergraduate scholarships at Saint Louis University. Upon transferring to the home campus, students become eligible for additional scholarships that are made available by the professional societies based in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

· The Computer Engineering program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the only such agency which accredits engi-neering programs at U.S. universities.
