Capítulo 4:

 Inglés: conversaciones y saludos básicos para presentarse

Ahora que sabemos cómo hacer las preguntas básicas en inglés,les agregaremos vocabulario,ya sea para presentar personas (introduce people),o información personal,también en conversaciones (personal information).

Veamos algunos diálogos:

Jack: Hello, Susan!   /jelou susan/

Susan: Hi, Jack! How are you? /jai shak! Jau ar iu? /

Jack: Fine, thanks. Let me introduce you to my friend, Tom.  /fain fdenks.let mi introdius iu tu mai frend,tom/

Tom: Hello, it's nice to meet you. /jelou,nais tu mit iu/

Susan: Nice to meet you, too. What do you do, Tom?

Tom: I’m a student. What about you? /ai am a estiudent.uat abaut iu/

Susan: I’m a lawyer.  /ai am a loier/

Ahora, analizemos:

*En conversaciones se usan las contractions,es decir,las formas cortas.

I’m fine /aim fain/ Estoy bien.

She’s /shis/ he’s /his/ it’s /its/ fine.

You’re /ior/ they’re /deir/ we’re /wir/ fine.

Para negatives, tambien hay contractions:

I’m not fine.

She-he-it isn’t /isent/ fine.

You-we-they aren’t /arnt/ fine.

Y también para responder!

Are you fine? No,  I’m not

                             He/she/it isn’t

                             You/we/they aren’t

Pero,ojo! No se usan short answers para responder en afirmativo:

Are you fine? Yes, I am

                              He,she,it is

                              We,you,they are

Ahora,el vocabulario básico para presentarse.

Hi,this is James. /jai,dis is sheims/    Hola,este es James.

What’s your name? /uats ior neim?/    Cuál es tu nombre?

My name is Julia /mai neim is shulia/    Mi nombre es Julia.

Nice to meet you. /nais tu mit iu/   Un placer conocerte/encantado de conocerte.

How are you ? /jau ar iu?/     Cómo estás?

I’m fine,thanks. /aim fain dfenks/    Estoy bien,gracias.

And you? /and iu?/   Y vos?

 

Saludos:

Hello /jeolu/ hola

Good morning /gud mornin/ Buenos días.

Good afternoon /gud afternun/ Buenas tardes

Good night /gud nait/ Buenas noches.

Bye /bai/ Adiós

Goodbye /gudbai/ Adiós. (en este caso más formal)

See you. /si iu/ Nos vemos

See you on Saturday /si iu on saturdei/ Nos vemos el sábado.

See you tomorrow /si iu tomorrou/ Nos vemos mañana.
