Global MBA

EThe GMBA offers an excellent curriculum that includes a selection of inter-disciplinary courses geared to the development of crossover management abilities. Prior to the beginning of the program there is a optional Intensive Spanish Language & Culture program (ISLCP) that will allow all international students to become familiar with Spanish language and culture with a special emphasis on the business Spanish and the Spanish & European business context.

The academic program is 12 month full time program divided into two 16 week semesters which conclude with a final one week Evaluation period. Every course may have a different number of credit hours; please check the course catalogue for details.
The GMBA also features two International Interims (or Study Trips) upon conclusion of each semester; the winter trip will take place in Mid February and the summer trip will take place in July.

Application Process

We consider candidates for admission to the GMBA program on the basis of individual application and academic merit. We look for well rounded individuals with potential for growth; ability to contribute to the group experience and development, open to new and diverse ways of thinking; with a strong critical thinking capacity; hard working, mature and highly motivated.
Candidates should hold a first academic degree; preferably in the fields of management, engineering, technology or environmental sciences and should have less than three years of professional experience.   Fluency in English is required; basic knowledge of Spanish highly recommended.

Scholarships & Grants
EOI- Business Schools offers a number of scholarships for both, national and international students. Scholarships are granted based on academic merit and financial needs. Students may also apply for a partial funding for the program.


Accommodation
Students may choose to rent an apartment or living in university housing. EOI does not have Residence Halls, but can facilitate reservation in Student Housing upon request. Housing is limited, and students are urged to make reservations as early as possible.


GMBA Faculty
The Global MBA Faculty has been selected to provide a true international perspective and approach. It is a group of experienced professionals both from Spain and abroad. Experts on their field, all of them combine an excellent teaching background together with a solid professional business experience.

Throughout the program students will have he opportunity to interact with professors not only during the class sessions, but also in personalized tutorials, conversations or support sessions.



Methodology

Our Global MBA includes a variety of learning methodologies and activities specifically designed to introduce junior managers to the sophisticated and multilayered world of global business relationships. It concentrates in an in-depth study of three regions of the world and the intricate relations between them.

All of our courses are taught with a global perspective by faculty with an extensive international experience in order to offer students a comprehensive vision of the world. Through class lectures and discussions, case analysis and real live simulations always complemented by company visits students will have a first hand experience of what is like to work in a global company. Students also have the opportunity to meet and interact with outstanding learders of the business community who will share their particular professional experience with the group.

In addition to gaining business skills, kwoledge and leadership inshight the GMBS will be held in different locations worldwide. In each location, students will participate in a full program of lectures, seminars and company visits in order to in depth explore a particular market environment. At the same time students have the opportunity to meet with company managers and other experts in the field while having an enriching cultural and personal experience.

Class lectures Weekly sessions led by outstanding teaching professionals with a solid professional background bringing both theory and practice together into the classroom. Our professors are expert facilitators that believe in participatory learning, fostering engagement, dialogue and discussion among the students.

Case studies The case method is an extremely valuable instrument that allows theory and practise to come together for study as a way to mirror the business reality in a nutshell. The case study methodology, situate students in difficult and challenging business situations that they have to effectively resolve. There are no simple solutions, yet it is an excellent instrument for facilitating the exchange of ideas and perspectives, countering and defending different points of view and building up on peer's ideas.

Forum & discussion with leading business professionals EOI offers an extensive program of conference and sessions with prominent business professionals, institutional leaders and outstanding members of the community to discuss and share their experiences in making business in a global environment from the most diverse perspective. Students are highly encouraged to participate in all of the events.

Professional Development Seminars Small seminar groups geared to strengthen "soft skills" such as leadership, communication, team building, oral presentations, debates, and career planning.

Foreign Language Support Intensive language support will be provided in order to acquire the basic business proficiency in both English and Spanish.

International Interim (Study Abroad) Students will participate in two two-week international experience where the group will attend classes at our prestigious partner institutions.

Master Final Project. All students must complete a Master Final Project by the end of the second semester. A tutor will be assigned early at the beginning of the program and both-professor and student-will work closely in selecting a challenging case study, drawing a constructive analysis, design successful strategies that will lead to a creative and innovative solution.
