The Timeframe

The International Executive MBA program lasts 13 months and has two intakes each year, one starting in November and the other in June. A new timetabling option is available with classes being held once every two weeks as opposed to every week, in order to provide maximum flexibility.

The program includes three presential periods and two online training periods. Of the three presential periods, two are conducted at our central campus in Madrid during the first and last periods of the program, with the remaining one taking place in Shanghai in the middle of the program.

Structure

The Pre-program

This introductory course is designed to equip you with the basics of financial accounting, aimed at those who are unfamiliar with them, introducing you to the mechanisms and logic that underlie all accounting processes, which in turn permit you to prepare and analyze typical accounting tasks, such as balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flows.

Because the pre-program is conducted entirely online, you will not need to come to Madrid until the beginning of the first presential period.

The Core Program

The International Executive MBA is divided into two modules, one dealing with Fundamentals and the other with Integration.

Both modules combine presential training during the three intensive presential periods with online sessions in between, thus you are able to follow the program regardless of your geographic location; wherever there is an internet connection, you will be able to keep up with your studies.

The presential periods permit you to work with concepts and skills that require the physical presence of your fellows, promoting interaction with the professors, and between participants.

The initial and final sessions of each module take place during these periods with three sessions in total, two held in Madrid, and one in Shanghai. These periods consolidate the work done throughout the program with seminars focused on skill-building activities, the presentation of individual and group projects, and assessment tests.

The Virtual Campus is the fundamental point of reference for the online activities that form a communication platform for group work and for the teacher-led online sessions. The Virtual Campus places the comments, opinions, and experiences of professors and fellow students, as well as general information on the program at your fingertips, around-the-clock, letting you study at your leisure.

You will participate in your own training right from the start of the course. Intensive communication and a methodology that hinges on participation guarantee a high level of motivation and commitment to the program.
