Sobre el centro

NELC – New Executive Language Centre es una cooperativa de idiomas creada en 2013 por profesores del antiguo Executive Language Center de ESADE. Estamos especializados en la enseñanza del inglés a profesionales, empresas y la comunidad universitaria, y también contamos con amplia experiencia en la formación de profesores en el ámbito universitario. Nuestro objetivo es continuar ofreciendo los cursos de inglés que impartíamos en ESADE-ELC con las mismas garantías de calidad. Tenemos experiencia con grandes corporaciones, así como con empresas medianas y pequeñas. Todos nuestros profesores son nativos y cuentan con una amplia experiencia de trabajo tanto con alumnos y personal interno de ESADE como con empresas y demás clientes profesionales de esta prestigiosa universidad. Además, también son expertos en la enseñanza de inglés de negocios.

Cathy grew up on the beautiful island of Jersey, one of the six Channel Islands. It’s famous for being the home of Gerald Durrell’s wildlife preservation zoo and also a tax haven. Jersey doesn’t have a university, so Cathy moved to England to study history at Warwick University and then qualified as an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher in 1986. Her career as an EFL teacher, teacher trainer, examiner and later manager began and took her to three cities beginning with the letter B: Bilbao from 1986 to 1994, Budapest from 1994 to 1996 and then Barcelona from 1996 onwards. After gaining his first teaching qualification, Charles began his career in Paris as in-house language instructor at Banque Rothschild and SCOR, one of Europe’s largest reinsurers. After 10 years there, he moved on to Saudi Arabia where he worked for British Aerospace both teaching and upgrading and developing teaching materials to be used by the R.S.A.F. His next stop was Tokyo where he ran a niche language and cross-cultural training centre, specialising in creating Business English courses for leading Japanese corporations such as Kobe Steel, and international financial institutions such as

Claire has more than 30 years teaching experience. Her first teaching was in London and after a brief spell in Madrid she moved to Barcelona in the late 1980’s but like so many others before her she fell in love with the city and has been here ever since. Her first job was in ESADE – Executive Language Center, where she worked as a full time teacher, teaching all levels specializing in Business English and course design, she also held various positions of responsibility including Coordinator for the third year undergraduate English programme and teacher reviewer. Eileen grew up in Scotland and studied Business Administration at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. After doing a diploma in Management Development, followed by a year working on that course, she moved to London. There she co-ordinated courses, conferences and publications in North London University, City University and in a non-profit Management Development association. After doing the TEFL certificate, Eileen taught in Tarragona and San Sebastian, before coming to Barcelona. Despite various escape plans, Eileen is still here many years later, having taught in ESADE Executive Language Centre

Guy grew up in Cardiff, the capital of Wales and went to university just over the border in Bath, in the West of England. At the University of Bath, he studied Business Administration and graduated in 1993, having done 6 months’ work experience in New York. After graduating, Guy worked for a number of years in banking and then in the world of advertising before deciding on a change of direction. In 1997, he qualified as an English teacher, before travelling extensively in Asia, Australia and S. America, teaching English in Quito and then in Bogota, where he started to learn Spanish. A Londoner, John has been in living and teaching in Spain for over 20 years. After graduating from Cambridge, he worked in finance and resource management for various organisations in his native city for 12 years before arriving in Barcelona in 1994. He was soon appointed as the English programme co-ordinator in Procter and Gamble, Mataró where his insight into modern communication needs and methods in business English began. John joined ESADE in 1999 and taught on virtually all the universities language programmes, including the undergraduate programme, public courses, in-company, one-to-one
