Preparación de Oposiciones para Profesores de Inglés de la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas

Se trata de un curso de preparación de las diferentes ares relacionadas con el examen: análisis de textos, traducción, uso del inglés, conocimiento de la metodología clave relacionada con el contexto de la EOI, preparación de programas de cursos, diseño de unidades de trabajo, presentación oral del trabajo. Se trata de talleres de dos horas cada dos semanas que se enlazan con temas de la lista oficial. Se intenta que los talleres sean lo más práctico posible en el los profesores recibirán clases, participarán en discusiones y trabajos en grupo y también trabajaran en secciones de su programa del curso y unidades de trabajo. Los profesores deberán hacer trabajo en casa en las áreas de "uso del inglés" y "planificación de clases".
Course content
The course is designed to assist teachers in the following areas related to the exam:

• Text analysis
• Translation
• Language awareness
• Awareness of key methodologies related to an EOI context
• Preparing a course programme
• Designing units of work
• Oral Presentation of work

Course structure
The course is structured in the following way:
Workshops
One workshop, lasting two hours, every two weeks at International House (a total of 24 hours). Each workshop links to a group of topics (temas) from the official list. Sessions are focussed to be as practical as possible and teachers receive input, engage in discussion and group work, and have time to work on sections of their course programme and units of work. Some workshops focus on specific exam-related skills, such as translation and use of English.
Outside of course hours, teachers are expected to continue working on their course planning and use of English. Teachers will bring this work to class to discuss with other teachers and the tutor.

The 'IH Oposiciones community' site is provided through the International House virtual classroom.
This site is intended to provide support for teachers, and a place to discuss issues, find out more or simply keep in contact with other course members.
