Este proceso se trata b\u00e1sicamente de una oxidaci\u00f3n a alta temperatura que presenta un balance energ\u00e9tico positivo.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cada gas tiene un punto de auto-ignici\u00f3n, que en presencia de ox\u00edgeno hace que la combusti\u00f3n se mantenga, siempre que la el suministro de ox\u00edgeno no cese. El ox\u00edgeno para la combusti\u00f3n va a proceder siempre del aire atmosf\u00e9rico, que est\u00e1 formado mayoritariamente &gt;70% por nitr\u00f3geno N2, que no interviene en la combusti\u00f3n y un 21% de ox\u00edgeno que act\u00faa como oxidante en la combusti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los&nbsp;<strong>gases combustibles<\/strong>&nbsp;mayoritarios tienen las siguientes formulaciones qu\u00edmicas:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5464 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/formulaciones-quC3ADmicas-gases-combustibles.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/formulaciones-quimicas-gases-combustibles.jpg 543w, https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/formulaciones-quimicas-gases-combustibles-300x134.jpg 300w\" alt=\"formulaciones qu\u00edmicas gases combustibles\" width=\"543\" height=\"242\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Estos gases producen una&nbsp;<strong>combusti\u00f3n en exceso de ox\u00edgeno<\/strong>&nbsp;seg\u00fan las siguientes ecuaciones:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5465 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/combustiC3B3n-en-exceso-de-oxC3ADgeno.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/combustion-en-exceso-de-oxigeno.jpg 543w, https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/combustion-en-exceso-de-oxigeno-300x127.jpg 300w\" alt=\"combusti\u00f3n en exceso de ox\u00edgeno\" width=\"543\" height=\"229\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5468 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/reaccion_metano_con_oxigeno.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 342px) 100vw, 342px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/reaccion_metano_con_oxigeno.jpg 342w, https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/reaccion_metano_con_oxigeno-300x164.jpg 300w\" alt=\"reaccion_metano_con_oxigeno\" width=\"342\" height=\"187\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La caracter\u00edstica com\u00fan a todas ellas es que consumen ox\u00edgeno y producen como subproducto dos gases, di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO2) y agua (H2O).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El c\u00e1lculo del aire necesario para la combusti\u00f3n. Se realiza para que el gas sobrante, que es el nitr\u00f3geno del aire, que no interviene en la combusti\u00f3n, act\u00fae como moderador de la temperatura de la combusti\u00f3n, evitando de esta forma que se alcancen temperaturas demasiado elevadas para las m\u00e1quinas que las utilizan. Alcanzando valores m\u00e1ximos, por ejemplo en el caso de las turbinas de gas, de 1.300 \u00baC aproximadamente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nos centraremos ahora en la combusti\u00f3n del gas m\u00e1s consumido en la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica que es el&nbsp;<strong>Gas Natural,<\/strong>&nbsp;cuya composici\u00f3n aproximada en la red de distribuci\u00f3n es la siguiente:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5466 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/combustiC3B3n-gas-natural.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/combustion-gas-natural.jpg 543w, https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/combustion-gas-natural-300x223.jpg 300w\" alt=\"combusti\u00f3n gas natural\" width=\"543\" height=\"403\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta<strong>&nbsp;mezcla de gases<\/strong>&nbsp;proporciona en la combusti\u00f3n un poder calor\u00edfico y una densidad media aproximada:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5467 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/tabla-combustiC3B3n.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/tabla-combustion.jpg 543w, https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/tabla-combustion-300x107.jpg 300w\" alt=\"tabla combusti\u00f3n\" width=\"543\" height=\"194\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De forma que cada metro c\u00fabico de volumen suministrado en el punto de consumo en condiciones normales (25\u00baC y presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica) contiene 0,79 Kg de gas y proporciona en la combusti\u00f3n una energ\u00eda equivalente de 11,68 kWh o lo que es lo mismo 4,2 MJ.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entonces si la energ\u00eda proporcionada por la combusti\u00f3n de un metro c\u00fabico normal de gas natural es de 11,68 kWh, que es su poder calor\u00edfico superior o PCS,<strong>&nbsp;\u00bfqu\u00e9 es el PCI o poder calor\u00edfico inferior?.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aqu\u00ed hay un asunto curioso y algo injusto desde mi punto de vista, por que la empresa suministradora de gas, nos va a cobrar en el recibo del gas, por los kWh de gas consumidos a PCS. Pero realmente ese no es el calor \u00fatil proporcionado por la combusti\u00f3n.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/seas-estudios-superiores-abiertos-cursos-9865-centrodetalles.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-23658 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/SEAS.jpg\" alt=\"SEAS\" width=\"130\" height=\"87\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El motivo es que entre los gases de la combusti\u00f3n est\u00e1 el agua, que es l\u00edquida a temperatura ambiente, pero que resulta un gas, a las temperaturas a las que se produce la combusti\u00f3n. En otras palabras, parte de los 11,68 kWh de energ\u00eda que se producen en la combusti\u00f3n, son consumidos por las mol\u00e9culas de agua que se forman en \u00e9sta para el cambio de estado de l\u00edquido a en vapor. De esta forma la energ\u00eda neta finalmente proporcionada por la combusti\u00f3n es de alrededor de 10,52 kWh por metro c\u00fabico.
