Joan Torrejon i Mir

Marketing and Business Management Lecturer

Joan Torrejon i Mir graduated from the University of Barcelona in 1982 with a degree in biology, going on to study an MBA with EADA in 1988. He began his professional career in the pharmaceutical industry the following year, progressing to leading roles in marketing, sales, business development, and general management for a variety of leading national and multinational firms, including Kabi-Pharmacia and Almirall. Joan has been a lecturer at EU since 2018. He thoroughly enjoys sharing his experience with students, and is fascinated by their enthusiastic hunger for growth and knowledge.

John Wetherell

Economics and Strategic Management Lecturer

John Wetherell has lectured in economics and strategic management at EU since 2003. He initially studied his BSc in Economics at the London School of Economics, during which he also spent time abroad, at the University of Paris, the Sorbonne. He later completed his master’s in international business at the University of Barcelona. Between 1995 and 2000, Wetherell had his own educational business before later collaborating with AP Consultancy. Wetherell has extensive experience in lecturing, and currently teaches at four Barcelona-based business schools.

Finance and Accounting Lecturer

Originally from Cuba, Mayra Mas has lectured in accounting at various institutions for over a decade. Teaching had often appealed to her, and, being a determined spirit, she decided to pursue this as a vocation, later realizing it was what she enjoyed most. Mas's academic background includes a BA in Computer Science from Queens College in New York City, and a further BA and PhD in economics from the University of Barcelona. Her extensive career in tax management and planning spans over 25 years. She went on to set up her own consultancy firm, working with various companies and organizations.

Miguel Sánchez Araujo

Project Management Lecturer

Miguel Sánchez Araujo is a civil engineer and lecturer, holding master’s degrees in both project management and environmental quality from Ramon Llull University. He has over fifteen years’ experience in the implementation of quality systems, specializing in environmental and general project management. Miguel’s capacity for teamwork and leadership have permitted him to flourish within his professional career in both the environmental and educational sectors. Responsible and proactive, his ability to analyze and resolve conflicts is a valuable asset both as a manager and teacher.
