Emagister adds to its catalog the Master in Fashion Design, which aims to prepare professionals, able to combine theoretical knowledge, insights and innovative capacity of experimentation to design stylish collections.


The new generation of fashion designers must have the capacity to identify and analyze contemporary trends to reprocess them in the form of the original story, trying to balance individual creativity with the concept of fast fashion from the world and from the market. Equally important is knowing how to combine these elements with a solid knowledge of design and visual culture of the fashion world.
Career opportunities - Thanks to the training acquired during the Master, participants can work as a Fashion Designer, as specialists in the creative process and the creation of collections of clothing for fashion houses in Italy and abroad. They can also work as a product manager, Fashion Merchandiser, Creative Advisors.

Target - The Master in Fashion Design welcomes students with an Honours Degree in Fashion Design and designers operating in the sector who feel the need to improve and/or update according to contemporary approaches of research and design. To gain access to the course it is essential to know well the techniques of Fashion Design: modeling and tailoring, technical drawing, Photoshop e Illustrator.

      The course tells about contemporary fashion through ideas, thoughts and works of the icons who influenced the history of modern costume, and those “new” names who are going to write the future of fashion. Furthermore, it would be very remarkable by gained a strong sense of image, being able to create links between different contexts and sources of inspirations.

    • Fashion Sociology and Trends

      We are in a continuous evolution but towards where are we moving, how are we doing it, and which are the tools used and will be used in the next future is known by few. By studying social phenomena and processes, it is possible to anticipate actions and analyze how they are applied in the fashion world; discover what different future scenarios changes will transform the relationship between people and products.

    • Methodology of Project Development

      The course proposes an update on contemporary methodology for an integrated development process of a creative product and leads to the adoption of results to a valid Design concept.

    • Contemporary Communication

      With an overview on Social, E-Commerce and E-mail marketing the course provides students with insight and knowledge on marketing their own business, building their brand and engaging with customers using creative online marketing strategies, digital advertising and creative content creation.

    • Grafic Lab

      The aim of the course is to make students improve a range of expertise and working methods that will enable them to work smoothly while increasing productivity.

    • Personal Design

      The course develops creativity and technical skills of students, such as use of colour, 3D sense and silhouette, sensitivity to fabric and material, aptitude for fashion drawing. 

    • Textile Methodology

      Goal of this teaching is the knowledge of textiles and materials and of their correct use. Students learn how to make materials best represent their collections.

      The focus is clearly defined by the gender peculiarities that will be respected while visioning and developing an apparel that corresponds to the brief.

      Bespoke is an important contemporary theme that will be faced with a balance between design and tailoring and a contemporary research guided by an expert of handcraft tailoring methods.

      The workshop will be dedicated to a contemporary necessity of a Brand Designer that submits to the student a challenging brief for the ideation, planning, creation and presentation of a Fashion collection.

Información adicional

Through a modular training, the Master deals with subjects design to align and implement the students’ basic skills. The course will concentrate on technological teachings workshops in parallel with cultural insights that highlight the historical and sociological aspects necessary to develop a fashion project.


Throughout the study path, students will also develop managerial skills: predisposition to teamwork, communication skills and collaboration with the various sectors and manufacturers of fabrics and clothing.
The course deals with different issues: conception and vision, research, design sketches, colours, materials, evaluation of the economic feasibility, prototyping, presentation and story collection.
The student explores the culture of contemporary fashion by studying the ideas and the work of the icons that have influenced the more recent history of costume and those designers who are dictating the trends of taste, style and the market for the foreseeable future.
Students will examine social phenomena and processes of the international fashion world trying to figure out how the future scenarios will change in the relationship between people and product.


The Master ends in a Final Project aimed at checking the skills acquired.
