Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, London

For more than 150 years, Central Saint Martins has pioneered radical innovations in art and design
teaching and learning. Its influence feeds into the arts education system, culture, industry and mainstream society. This is felt across the world, contributing to the high international value placed on British culture and creativity.

Generations of internationally renowned artists, designers and performers began their creative journeys at CSM. Their work has defined and transformed our times.

In October 2011, Central Saint Martins' unveiled it’s new 39,000 square-metre campus, the centre piece of a major redevelopment behind King's Cross railway station in central London. Occupying a landmark Grade II listed Granary building featuring breathtaking design, combining the urban scale of historic industrial architecture with a fluid, modern space with world class facilities where Central Saint Martins will carry forward the best of its history into a new era of the highest quality in arts education.


Chelsea College of Art and Design (CCAD)
Chelsea’s name is synonymous with some of the most creative periods in London’s recent history. Indeed, many famous artists and designers started their careers at Chelsea, including writer and illustrator Quentin Blake, Turner prizewinner Chris Offili and Anish Kapoor. Located in a spectacular campus next to Tate Britain and right by the river Thames, you will also be studying at the centre of one of the world's great cultural capitals, in a historic college dating back to 1895. Our emphasis on internationalism is reflected in a student community that is a richly diverse multicultural mix of students from all around the world. Chelsea’s world famous programmes of graphic design, interior design, textiles and fine art are always evolving and changing to meet the needs of fast moving creative industries. Chelsea is part of a three-college partnership with Camberwell College of Arts and Wimbledon College of Art within the prestigous University of the Arts London. Together we are developing a world-leading art and design educational programme that is second to none.

Located within London, the Colleges are at the heart of their respective communities. Drawing on and contributing to the local culture, they foster closely-knit and welcoming environments in which to study, supported by all the resources of the larger University and the wider arts community.

The Colleges offer the University's 20,000 students a diverse range of courses at all levels from foundation and undergraduate to postgraduate and research. The University's 1,228 teaching staff, as active professional artists, practitioners, designers, critics and theorists, lead the way on creative and experimental practice alongside historical and theoretical analysis. The combination of a varied student group, cutting-edge research and highly-experienced staff creates a unique, multifaceted learning experience for students at the University.
