Master Dynamics of Cooperation, Conflicts and Negotiation in International Relations and Diplomacy

Alfonso X University offers a postgraduate program, as an European Master for professionals and young students in Spain. The program, conducted in English, has been developed to be both flexible and practical, conducted within a framework that offers participants the chance to balance their work commitments with the opportunity to further their education and understanding of international affairs. The faculty members of the Program will be a combination of experienced diplomats, professors, professionals, civil servants, military personnel, and politicians.

Thanks to an academic agreement signed between the Berg Institute, Alfonso X University and the United Nations University for Peace- Human Rights Centre-, professors from the University for Peace will also form part of the Masters degree.

Participants in both Master and post-graduate diploma programs will also have the option to complement their studies with one of the four summer programs in Europe, the Middle-East and/or the United States.

Both held in January and June, "Otzenhausen- Human Rights in Context" is a study tour of 7 European countries and is currently in its 11th year. The tour includes visits to institutional and historical sites of relevance to European and International Relations.

“Human Rights in Context: Israel and Palestine” allows the students to experience the situation of Human Rights in field at Israel, Palestine and the Occupied Territories. This is an unique experience for students to renew their commitment and will consist in an alternation of guided visits with academic activities in both Israel and Palestine.

Alternatively, the relationship between the academic partners and the American University-Washington College of Law allows students to participate in this university’s study program on International Relations, Law and Diplomacy in either Washington D.C. or in Geneva, Switzerland.m
