Our extended course runs over four years, with the added benefit of a foundation year. You'll focus on the science that underpins modern medicine. Understand how a healthy human body works, the impact of diseases and how normal function can be restored.

Gain the theory and practical knowledge the medical industries rely on daily, so you can progress in a range of disciplines including, for example, graduate entry medicine. Not only will you acquire essential medical knowledge, you'll also develop the fundamental scientific skills that underpin the investigation, diagnosis and prevention of diseases, including devising treatment regimens. In state-of-the-art simulation suites, you'll experience a range of 'real-life' clinical environments, from an operating theatre to the intensive care unit.

More broadly, this course will help you to identify and solve problems, lead and manage people, and be confident in communicating efficiently. These wider life skills will give you a strong advantage in the employment market as they're highly valued across all sectors.

Our students benefit from a variety of teaching methods. You'll learn in a number of ways which include lectures, interactive seminars and structured group work, led by tutors and peers. You'll tap into our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for 24-access to valuable online materials, such as content-rich study guides. And you'll take part in practical laboratory and clinical skills sessions.
