  • I am an architect. I studied architecture nine years ago when I graduated from La Salle at the La Salle School of Architecture. Then, I immediately set up my own studio with a former classmate from the university, and from there, I began my working career, always staying in contact with the university. I was asked to teach planning classes, and in 2009, during my fifth year of urban planning, I was already giving classes. Ultimately, I wanted to continue being in contact with the university, expanding my knowledge, and, in the end, further developing my architectural career. I would encourage any student who has completed their degree or who is currently navigating the challenges of the job market, especially in the current situation we are living in, to consider getting involved in one of the master’s programs at La Salle, particularly this one. This program provides a broad and comprehensive range of knowledge and, at the very least, equips you with the tools to filter and direct your potential research work effectively.

  • I participated in the Master’s Degree in Integrated Architecture Project. What I liked the most was the learning methodology, as the program is focused on research for the future. I would like to be part of the university academy in Venezuela, and I believe that research is a key aspect of this path. In addition to being an architect, learning how to conduct research is also essential to successfully develop projects. The master’s degree structures all its seminars around research, making it easier to understand that architecture goes beyond just designing—it involves identifying problems and needs that must be addressed through the project. Moreover, it is about learning from other architects and understanding how research helps you uncover aspects that are not immediately obvious when approaching an architectural project.

  • It has also been very interesting to participate in a transversal workshop alongside international colleagues, working on a project that ranges from urban planning to the finest details. Additionally, working on topics such as sustainability and energy efficiency has been valuable in improving the architecture of our projects. My main interests have been, above all, to deepen research topics, gaining insight into Mediterranean architecture from different perspectives. This experience has also allowed me to join a research group in Mediterranean architecture, enabling me to explore this field in greater depth.

The logics of architectural design and construction are in continuous adaptation to the context in which they operate. Its systems of methods and principles are expanded to face challenges such as climate change, technological disruptions, economic collapses, geopolitical strategies and demographic movements, among other imminent global challenges.

MIAD is a postgraduate course destined to review the most significant phenomena that affect our society, and to rethink them from environmental, social, digital, tectonic and cultural logics that are oriented towards an evolved conception of architecture.

MIAD has an integrated approach to architectural design and research serving the areas of design, technology and culture alike. MIAD is based on the visions that the international references are giving on the global context. For this, solutions and tools will be presented and taught to expand the logics that give imminent answers to common challenges.

Sobre el curso: I have completed the Master’s Degree in Integrated Architectural Project, specializing in Project and Technology, and I must say that this program has far exceeded my expectations. It has been an incredibly enriching experience, and I have felt very happy throughout the process. I also feel that I have gained the necessary tools to develop my professional career in Monterrey, particularly thanks to the research I conducted for my master’s thesis in Pesina, which has been a deeply fulfilling experience for me. Additionally, we have had the opportunity to learn from highly distinguished speakers and professors, who have made valuable contributions to the entire group of students in this program. For all these reasons, I highly recommend this master’s degree.

Sobre el curso: What I liked most about the academic experience was the diversity of professionals with whom we had contact, either through classes, lectures or visits. I also found very interesting the proposal to explore diverse areas other than 'traditional' architecture. We worked with curatorship, publishing, digital design, and that opened our eyes to the countless possibilities of architecture.
