If you are ready to dive into the future challenges of the environment this is your place to be. In this multidisciplinary degree you will learn from various universities how to make an impact on current problems related to our contemporary environmental change while having a broad knowledge of ecological, social, economic and political areas. Its goal is to include in the learning of the alumni solutions having in mind the particularities of this economy to transform into a bioeconomy.
This Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management online master listed on the Emagister portal gives you a wide range of techniques and tools designed to improve the environment through tasks of conservation of the wildlife, natural resources and all key parts involved in an ecosystem. It also takes into account how humans have impacted on the biosphere and how to start working not from scratch but in a conditioned environment.
Brought to you by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, this master is taught along Bangor University and Universidade de Lisboa. After finishing this studies the alumni will get not one but three separate degrees as a great example of this global studies across different countries.

Are you passionate about biodiversity and want to learn how to implement conservation and environmental management practices?
Starting in the fall of ’24, the GLOBE Erasmus Mundus Joint Master will recruit up to 25 well-motivated students from all over the world. Candidates from a range of disciplinary backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as long as they can demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for the ecological, social, economic and political challenges posed by contemporary environmental change.
Candidates must fulfil the following admission requirements:
B.Sc. degree or equivalent, corresponding to a minimum of 180 European credit (EC) units in accordance with the European credit transfer and accumulation System (ECTS).
Qualifying Bachelor’s degrees include biology, environmental sciences, forestry, geography, natural resources, political sciences or economy, environmental law– or an equivalent Bachelor’s degree.
Language proficiency documentation: a minimum of B2 under language proficiency of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. Exceptions based on nationality or language of education exist (see below).
Application complete on time including all required documentation.
Successful GLOBE graduates will obtain multiple master degrees from the three institutions from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Bangor University and Universidade de Lisboa. Students who carry out their master thesis at Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala will also receive a degree from this institution. The coordinating institution (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos) will provide a European Diploma Supplement with the transcript of records, grades and credits.
GLOBE is the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme in Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management. GLOBE is an innovative degree delivered by a Consortium of two European universities and two universities from outside the EU. The programme adopts a novel, integrative approach to addressing urgent problems caused by Global Change. Combining academic excellence, international collaboration, and student mobility, GLOBE provides students with a unique toolkit of knowledge, skills, and competences, from fundamental ecology to conservation management practices.
